Accessibility Statement (ADA Compliance)

Effective date: October 16, 2026  |  Last updated: October 16, 2026  |  Standard: WCAG 2.2 Level AA (target)

5.1 Our commitment

Wellington Auto Service is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities — including people who are blind, have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have mobility or dexterity limitations, or have cognitive or learning disabilities — can access our website, our information, and our services with the same dignity, privacy, and independence as any other customer. Accessibility is an ongoing effort at our shop and on wellingtonautoservice.com, and we treat it as a continuing obligation rather than a one-time project.

5.2 Standard we aim to meet, and the legal context

We design, build, and test the Site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which is the recognized benchmark for digital accessibility. In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice published a final rule under ADA Title II adopting WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the technical standard for state and local government websites and mobile apps; in April 2026 the Department extended the compliance dates for those public entities (to April 26, 2027 for entities serving populations of 50,000 or more, and April 26, 2028 for smaller entities and special district governments). See the Department of Justice fact sheet at ada.gov/resources/2024-03-08-web-rule and the W3C’s WCAG overview at w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag.

Our shop is a private business and is covered by ADA Title III (public accommodations), not Title II, and the Department of Justice has not adopted a specific technical standard for private-sector websites. We have nonetheless chosen to target WCAG 2.1 AA as a floor and WCAG 2.2 AA as our operating standard, because it is both the practical benchmark used by courts and experts and the right thing to do for our customers.

5.3 Measures we have taken

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and a logical reading and tab order.
  • Meaningful alternative text for informative images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology where appropriate.
  • Accessible forms: programmatically associated labels, clear error identification and suggestions, input purposes identified for autofill, and adequate target sizes.
  • Full keyboard operability of navigation, forms, menus, and interactive widgets, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to main content” link.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA for text and user-interface components, and no reliance on color alone to convey information.
  • Text that can be resized to 200% without loss of content or functionality, layouts that reflow at 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling, and respect for your operating system’s text-size and reduced-motion preferences.
  • No auto-playing audio, no content that flashes more than three times per second, and no motion triggered by interaction that cannot be disabled.
  • Captions and transcripts for videos we publish, and accessible names and roles for custom widgets and icons.
  • Testing with automated accessibility tooling and manual keyboard and screen-reader review, plus periodic third-party review.
  • Accessibility requirements included in how we select website vendors, booking tools, chat/AI tools, and review widgets.

5.4 Accessibility features of this Site

Visitors can navigate the entire Site with a keyboard alone; enlarge text using browser zoom or operating-system settings; use screen readers and other assistive technologies with properly announced structure, links, and form fields; reach all contact and appointment options without needing a mouse; and read our policies as text that can be copied, enlarged, and read aloud. A visible “Accessibility” link is provided in the Site footer on every page.

5.5 Compatibility

The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, screen magnifiers, speech-recognition tools, switch and keyboard-only input, and operating-system high-contrast and dark modes. If you use an older browser or an uncommon assistive technology and encounter a problem, please tell us — Section 5.8 explains how.

5.6 Third-party content we do not fully control

Some parts of the Site are provided by third parties and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. This typically includes the embedded reviews widget, embedded maps, social media embeds, our scheduling or booking tool, the payment processor’s checkout, and any chat or AI assistant. We ask our vendors about accessibility, prefer vendors that publish an accessibility conformance report, and raise issues with them when customers report problems. In the meantime, every function these widgets provide is also available by telephone. If a widget blocks you, call (561) 790-2886 or email info@wellingtonautoservice.com and we will complete the task for you — booking an appointment, providing a quote, answering a question, or taking a payment — through an accessible alternative.

5.7 Access at our physical location

Accessibility at our shop is part of the same commitment. Our current facilities are ADA compliant for all customers. To inquire or communicate with our team, please call ahead at (561) 790-2886 or let any staff member know when you arrive, and we will assist you personally. We will also accommodate customers who use service animals and, on request, we will discuss alternative arrangements for vehicle drop-off.

5.8 Feedback, accommodation requests, and complaints

We welcome your feedback — it is the fastest way for us to fix a barrier. Please contact us by any of the following, and let us know the page or feature, what happened, and the assistive technology and browser you were using if you can:

  • Email: info@wellingtonautoservice.com
  • Telephone: (561) 790-2886  (if you use TTY or a relay service, dial 711 and ask to be connected to (561) 790-2886)
  • Mail: Wellington Auto Service, Attention: Accessibility, 3103 Fortune Way #1, Wellington, Florida 33414
  • In person: ask for the manager on duty  who is responsible for accessibility matters.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 3 business days and to resolve or substantially respond to it as promptly as possible. If the issue concerns content you need right now, we will provide the information in an accessible alternative format (for example, by telephone, by email as plain text, or in large print on request) without waiting for a technical fix.

5.9 If you are not satisfied

If you believe we have not adequately addressed an accessibility barrier, please tell us first — we want the opportunity to fix it. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, which enforces the ADA; information is available at ada.gov. We do not discriminate against anyone who raises an accessibility concern, requests an accommodation, or files a complaint.

5.10 Ongoing review and training

We review the Site for accessibility and after any significant redesign or new feature, remediate issues on a prioritized basis (with content and transactions prioritized over decorative elements), train our staff on accessible customer service, and require accessibility consideration when we buy or change digital tools. Existing PDFs and archived content are remediated as they are updated.

Appendix A — AI, Analytics & Digital Advertising Disclosure

Internal reference · not a public page · use this to keep the published policies factually accurate

This appendix consolidates, in one place, every statement the public policies make about the tools you plan to run at launch. When any tool below changes, update the matching policy text before or at the moment the change goes live — a policy that describes tools you do not use, or omits tools you do use, is the most common compliance failure on small-business sites.
